Welcome to Lakeshore Estates in the Borough of Haworth in Bergen County. This condominium community is designed to meet the Borough's "fair share" of the growing need for affordable housing in New Jersey. Lakeshore Estates includes 9 one-, two- and three- bedroom, low- and moderate- income homes for sale to income qualified households. These homes are available to qualified applicants whose combined household income meets the criteria for affordable housing. A random selection was held on April 20, 2023 for all preliminary applications received on or before 3:00 PM, March 30th, 2023. During the final application process, a preference will be given to households that live or work in Housing Region 1 (Bergen, Hudson, Passaic, and Sussex Counties).

We will process your application and send you a confirmation within a few weeks. When an affordable home becomes available, we will contact a limited number of applicants who are on our list for the size and income category of the home that will be available.

A final application and documentation to verify identity and income will be required and processed at that time. Since final applications are only processed when a specific affordable home becomes available, we can not accommodate applicants’ choice of floor plan.

Terms and Conditions

The number of units at each pricing tier is limited, and not all properties offer units at every pricing tier. Prices and conditions are subject to change without notice. Maximum incomes will apply. To be eligible for this affordable housing program, the gross annual income of your household cannot exceed the program limits listed, above. The maximum income is based on the total number of persons who will reside in an affordable home. Maximum Incomes are adjusted annually and are subject to change without notice.
